In its pursuit of Right First Time solutions GraviLoad uses FEA analysis at all stages to ensure the structural integity of its designs.
We have also developed our own in house DEM techniques to allow us to fully optimse the flow to suit your materials and your chutes.
Having the ability to clearly visualise flow in the proposed chute geometry allows us to demonstrate clearly your exact solution before manufacture, and we can work with you on your conveyer exit points to ensure we jointly get the best solution.
Using the well known LIGGGHT's DEM engine, we take geometry directly from the 3D CAD design and can flow a multitude of material types and flow rates. The geometry can then be changed and the effects analysed until we have the best solution.
Parameters such as velocity control, force on material particles, friction and wear can be modelled at an early stage.
All of these can be visualised and analysed in a number of ways

Using DEM we have evaluated our Spoon based systems against the best Cascade chutes
Vastly improved velocity control over a range of 125 :1 flow rate ratio compared to < 20:1 range of a Cascade chute
Greater than 20 % better mean bulk velocity control
55 % better velocity control between chute elements
No Choking over wide flow rates
